Content creator Fake Tizian, known for his engaging TikTok videos, has shared a poignant account of his personal struggles and a renewed plea for support from his Kenyan fanbase. In a recent interview, Tizian revealed the heavy responsibilities he shoulders as the eldest of five orphaned siblings, highlighting the challenges he faces in providing for their education and basic needs.

“I am an orphan and the eldest of siblings. We are five kids. They are studying. The boys in my family did not manage to study to primary school and high school,” Tizian confessed, emphasizing the importance of education for his younger siblings. He explained that he became the primary caretaker for his family following the passing of his parents, a burden he carries while striving to create content and build a stable future.

Tizian recalled the early days of his TikTok journey, a time when he saw it merely as a hobby. “I started TikTok like a game. You used to just record for fans,” he said. He never envisioned it becoming a platform for not only entertainment but also survival. He vividly remembers reaching 10,000 followers while his mother was still alive, a milestone that now seems bittersweet.

Tragedy struck in 2023 when Tizian’s mother lost her battle with cervical cancer. He recounted the overwhelming financial burden that accompanied her illness. The hospital bill amounted to KSh 90,000, a sum far beyond the family’s means. “We had a lot of problems; they needed KSh 90,000 and Kenyans came through for me,” he gratefully acknowledged. “We tried to pay up whatever we could and told the hospital that we had no means to finish the bill. They just released her body.”

Deeply moved by the plight of the young content creator, his online community rallied around him, helping him settle the outstanding medical debt and lay his mother to rest.

Now, Tizian is again reaching out to his followers for assistance. He recently appealed for help in securing an electricity connection for his home, a necessity that would significantly improve the quality and consistency of his content creation. Despite his efforts, he has only managed to raise KSh 5,000 towards the KSh 30,000 needed for the connection, including the wiring costs.

“I’m doing fine. I am yet to get an electricity connection. I need KSh 25,000. The money increased since I also needed wiring. So far they have given me KSh 5,000,” Tizian explained. “I just want electricity to help me propel my content creation further. I would also want a camera.”

Tizian’s story is a testament to the power of community and the struggles faced by many young Kenyans. His resilience, combined with the support of his online fanbase, offers a beacon of hope for a brighter future for him and his siblings.
