According to CA, the number of SIM subscriptions in the nation stands at 71,375,093 and has a penetration of 138. 5 percent.
Airtel counts 21,517,842 members out of the total, giving it a 30.15 percent market share. Airtel reported a 3.75% gain in subscribers, or 777,284 new users, to reach 20,740,558 users for the third quarter of 2024, which runs from July to September.
With a total of 42,302,833 subscribers between October and December 2024, Kenya has managed to maintain its rapid adoption of mobile money.In addition to having 3,764,952 customers, Airtel Money has an 8.9 percent market share.
