“Yaani inafika mahali am being arrested in Kenya just because of writing a book?” “Tell me what offence I have done” Cleophas Malala

Former UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala was blocked by DCI officers and uniformed police outside Kirobon Girls’ School after attempting to reach students from Butere Girls for rehearsal purposes. The students are scheduled to perform the controversial play Echoes of War tomorrow morning at the ongoing National Drama and Film Festivals in Nakuru.

In what appeared to be a looming arrest, DCI officers prevented Malala from leaving the Kirobon Girls’ premises, where the students are currently accommodated.

Malala is the scriptwriter of the play, which was reportedly banned from being performed following a directive from State House

The public eagerly awaits for the play to be performed where the book talks about the July 2024 protest with the Gen-z unveiling what happened.
