Kenya Power has contributed a sponsorship of KShs.7.1 million to the World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya 2025.

The sponsorship will be used to install floodlights in the Safari Rally Service Park and enhance the power supply for the Morendat Safari Rally Village, hence increasing access to electricity by fans attending the rally.

Participation in the WRC Safari Rally exemplifies our conviction in the capability of sport to bring people together and effectuate positive change.

It is a privilege to be the official lighting partner of the WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2025. We wish to provide adequate electricity to light up the service center and enable rally fans to charge their phones and other gadgets so that they don’t miss classic moments,” stated Dr. (Eng.) Joseph Siror, Managing Director & CEO, Kenya Power.

In Naivasha, inside the Wildlife Research and Training Institute (WRTI), lies the Safari Rally Service Center. The central location is where rally cars undergo their required maintenance and repairs between competition stages.

The inclusion of enhanced lighting at the service centre will enable the service teams to work relentlessly during the rally.

In addition to installing the lighting infrastructure, Kenya Power will set up an exhibition pavilion in Morendat Spectator Village to highlight its dedication to green energy solutions by showcasing its most recent developments in e-motorization, sometimes referred to as e-mobility, and e-cooking.

Along with providing free charging stations for EVs, motorcycles, and cell phones, the pavilion will also provide attendees with instructional materials about a range of the business’s goods and services.

We believe that sports possess the capacity to bring individuals together and encourage positive transformation.

“Through our participation at the Safari Rally Village, we aim to inform the public about the advantages of e-booking and e-mobility, as well as accessing their energy needs. “

“This represents a chance for us to engage with our customers and demonstrate Kenya Power’s dedication to advancing the energy transition in Kenya,” stated Dr. Siror.
